Hatha Yoga at Yoga Great Barrington includes the study and practice of Asana (posture) and Pranayama (breathing techniques). Other techniques may also be offered, such as Bandhas (internal locks), Nada (internal sound) and Meditation. We offer these yoga practices as a means of cultivating physical, mental and spiritual wellness in yoga practitioners, as well as in our community at large.
The ambiance at Yoga Great Barrington is supportive, safe and non-competitive. At any level, students are encouraged to respect and honor their individual capacities while challenging themselves in the process of building a strong personal practice. We invite you to discover yoga as a means of vibrant living and self-transformation.
In observance of the greater application of yoga philosophy, it is our intention to provide a clean, neat and beautiful space with a minimal impact on our environment. Everything in our studio, from yoga props, to trash bags, to the paint on our walls, was purchased with these philosophies in mind.
